The CBS-VX APE 5 HP compressor is designed to operate in hazardous classified environments where flammable gases, vapors, or dust are present. Equipped with an explosion-proof motor, pressure switch, and accessories certified Class I, Division 1 & 2, with high-resistance epoxy paint finish, ensuring safe operation in refineries, petrochemical plants, fuel storage terminals, industrial paint facilities, and solvent processing areas.

Mechanically identical to the CBS XV series, it uses the cast iron XV-531 pump head in two-stage configuration to deliver 22.10 CFM at 175 psi. The low 550 RPM extends service life and minimizes heat generation — a critical factor in explosive environments.
