What does an air receiver tank do and why do I need one?

The air receiver stores compressed air and stabilizes your line pressure: it absorbs demand peaks, reduces compressor starts, and extends equipment life. With piston compressors it also gives the unit the rest its duty cycle requires. It is the most cost-effective part of a well-built installation.

What tank capacity do I need?

A practical reference is 3 to 4 gallons (11-15 liters) per CFM of your compressor; highly variable demand calls for more. Available space and vertical vs. horizontal mounting also matter. CBS sizes it together with your compressor so the system runs smoothly.

Do the tanks meet safety standards?

Yes. CBS tanks are built to operate under the standards applicable to pressure vessels, including Mexico's NOM-020-STPS for workplace operation, and are delivered with a written warranty. A pressure vessel is no place to cut corners with unbacked equipment.

What maintenance does an air tank require?

The essential task is draining the condensate (water) that collects at the bottom — manually or with an automatic drain — and periodically checking the safety valve and pressure gauge. Undrained condensate corrodes the tank from inside; a dryer and filters drastically reduce that moisture.

Do you sell tanks alone or bundled with a compressor?

Both. You can buy the air receiver separately in various capacities, or quote the complete system: compressor, tank, dryer, filters, and aluminum piping. Quoting the full package usually delivers the best technical and commercial result.
