A simple, consistent maintenance routine helps your compressor consistently deliver the pressure and flow rate you need. This guide is designed so you can handle the basic tasks yourself and catch any issues early.

If you notice unusual noises, overheating or abnormal vibration, disconnect the unit and contact technical service.

Before any maintenance task: disconnect the unit, allow it to cool down, wear proper PPE and keep the work area clean.

Daily routine

Quick checks to start the day with your compressor in top shape.

Check for any unusual noises or vibration.
Verify the oil level and top up if needed.
Drain condensate from the air receiver and low points in the piping.
Perform a general visual inspection of hoses, fittings and cables.

Weekly routine

Cleaning and adjustment tasks to prevent premature wear.

Remove and clean the air filter intakes. Replace the element if heavily clogged.
Check belt tension (approx. 3/8″ to 1/2″ deflection).
Blow dust off the cylinder head, motor, fan, intercooler and tank.
Manually test the safety valve and verify it does not stick.

Monthly routine

Leak inspection and oil condition review.

Inspect the entire compressed air system for leaks in piping, couplings and connections.
Check the condition of the oil. If it appears dark, dirty or contaminated, change it immediately.

Quarterly routine

Deeper maintenance to keep the unit running at peak efficiency.

Check for air leaks at joints and fittings using a soap solution.
Tighten mounting bolts, nuts, brackets and guards as needed.
Change the compressor oil more frequently in dusty or harsh environments.
Inspect the concentric valve assemblies; they may require cleaning between 800 and 1,000 service hours.

Clean oil in good condition protects the internal components of your compressor. Follow this schedule to maximize the service life of your equipment.

First change at 20 hours. On 10 to 20 HP units, perform the first oil change at 20 operating hours to flush particles from the initial break-in period.
Second change at 40 hours. Replace the oil again at 40 cumulative hours to ensure a clean system.
Every 300 hours or 60 days. Maintain a 300-hour or 60-day interval, whichever comes first. Shorten the interval in dusty or high-humidity environments.
